Malvern and Hot Spring County Community
Malvern and Hot Spring County is a very charming community that has been a pioneer in many aspects including building one of the first ever bridges in Arkansas over the Ouachita River and building first dam in 1924, just one year after HSC Medical Center was founded. Originally founded as a farming community, today Malvern offers many opportunities for a wide variety of occupations. Malvern is 45 miles southwest of Little Rock, AR. Malvern's population at last count was 9.021, while Hot Spring County has more than 30,353.
One of our greatest attractions is the Ouachita River with its beautiful shoreline and river rapids. We are also blessed to have two beautiful lakes with Lake Catherine and DeGray Lake. If fishing and boating are important to you, then Malvern has much to offer.
The climate in Malvern is very moderate with a mean annual temperature of 63.8 degrees. We receive about 55 inches of rain per year which keeps the area lush throughout much of the year.
