Rehabilitation Services

HSC Medical Center has a Rehabilitation Unit that is staffed with a team consisting of a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Specialist; nurses; occupational therapist; respiratory therapist; dietitian; social worker; speech pathologist; physical therapist; and a case manager. The team is trained to help anyone who has suffered a loss of functioning or impairment due to a brain injury; stroke; major multiple trauma; amputation; degenerative neurological disorder; orthopedic injury; spinal cord injury; burns; or congenital deformities. The program at HSC Medical Center is designed to treat the whole person. Staff members also work with patient's family members to help them make adjustments and learn how to help with the therapeutic process. Anyone may make a referral to the HSC Rehabilitation Center.
