Surgical Services

The Surgery Department includes two operating rooms, an outpatient procedure room, gastrointestinal laboratory, an admission and recovery room and a central sterile supply room. The department uses state-of-the-art equipment and serves both inpatients and outpatients with surgical and endoscopic procedures. HSC Medical Center 's operating rooms are equipped with Midmark and Steris overhead spotlights and a new Skytron 6600 surgical table along with an AMSCO 2080 table. The department uses two Olympus I40 Series Video Systems for gastrointestinal procedures and new State-of-Art Olympus Video Telescope for laparoscopic procedures. Some of the procedures we do include: EGD's, colonoscopies, laparoscopic procedures, appendectomies, gall bladders, breast biopsies, mastectomies, thyroidectomy and other minor surgical procedures.
